This black and white photography is of a crashed U.S NAVY DC-3 American plane in Iceland. This location is a site in Iceland that Acacia McLean was taken to in 2015 as part of a jeep day trip tour where she was able to photograph this unique piece.
The story behind this plane crash is that In 1973 the DC ran out of fuel and landed in the south coast of Iceland in Sólheimasandur. According to records everyone survived the wreck, and it was discovered later that the pilot flying the plane had just switched over to the wrong fuel tank. The remains from this plane wreck still stand at this location where Acacia was able to take this unique photograph.
Due to the dimensions of this photo originally some sizes will have a slight crop of the sky and or sand (top and bottom of the photo), but will not cut off any of the plane. The crop will be done to those that are needed to accommodate the size wall art selected.
